Honoring First Responders – Heroes Breakfast
Our Annual Heroes Breakfast grew from the desire to recognize our local First Responders who care for the local community and our Esplanade Gardens residents. Each year, Esplanade Gardens invites local First Responders to enjoy a meal and honor them for their commitment and service. This year, we were joined by Converse Fire Department, Converse Police Department, Windcrest Police Department, Windcrest Fire Department, and responders from Live Oak and Universal City. Earlier this year, the JA Wedum Foundation, on behalf of Esplanade Gardens, donated funding for a ResQPOd medical device to the Converse Fire Department. This advanced medical equipment will help improve patient outcomes during CPR and will be added to the Converse fire trucks.

In Texas, firefighters are EMTs and complete a minimum program of 486 hours.
